Job Purpose: Job Purpose: The job holder supports the Passenger Entertainment
& Communications Manager in developing inflight publications, passenger
communications, entertainment programming and information pages for Emirates
inflight entertainment. Job Accountabilities Linked to Objective Areas: -
Inflight Publications: Co-ordinate, update and promote content in inflight
publications. This includes Emirates inflight entertainment (IFE) across
Hollywood movies, Arabic, Bollywood, world films, TV series, music, podcasts,
wi-fi, inflight shopping, Dubai events and more. Adhering to schedules in
order to ensure that IFE publications are produced and delivered on time every
issue and maintaining accuracy within the content and alignment with brand
guidelines. - Interactive Content: Incorporate and promote Dubai tourism and
events into the information pages of the IFE, offering passengers an in-depth
overview of Dubai and the UAE. Ensure that seatback interactive content is
continually reviewed and updated as necessary, liaising with the management
and relevant external suppliers to establish, update schedules and create new
content and promotions to Emirates requirements. - Inflight Retail Content:
ensure that the inflight shopping (EmiratesRED) is updated on the seatback IFE
to align with the latest catalogue offering. Work with IFE suppliers to
promote inflight shopping on the seatback IFE. - Airshow: coordinate with
Corporate Communications to produce required elements to support campaigns
such as new route introductions and various passenger communications messages
used on the air show system. Oversee the periodic update of all graphics shown
here. - Cabin Crew communications: write and publish internal communications
about inflight entertainment topics when required. Liaise with department
management, Corporate Communications, IFE suppliers and EK engineering when
relevant to ensure that all required messages are included and approved.
Production of other ad-hoc elements such as short videos may be required to
ensure that the message is communicated effectively as required. The job
holder is responsible for monitoring cabin crew feedback to ensure that all
operational issues are identified and addressed via these methods. - Launch of
new IFE products: Support the management team and lead if necessary the smooth
incorporation of new IFE products (i.e. new media content categories, new
system features, additional languages, etc.) into the IFE and publications -
Standards and suitability: Ensure that all editorial and pictorial content
used for presentation to passengers or crew meets corporate brand guidelines
and established product standards and is suitable for multinational passenger
audiences - Inflight literature (non-publications): Continually review all
inflight materials for suitability, accuracy, clarity, design suitability and
opportunity for product improvement. This includes items such as headphone
bags, instructional cards, promotional literature, etc. New designs to be
developed in coordination with the management and approval of all relevant
parties.
Qualifications & Experience: Minimum
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Qualifications: Degree or Honours
(‎12+‎3 or equivalent) Experience: Marketing & Media Communications. Graphic
Design. ‎5+ Years Knowledge/Skills: - Degree in media, communications, graphic
design or a related field. - The position demands at least ‎3 years' experience
in publishing, marketing/communications, media/entertainment or inflight
entertainment. The job holder will have a keen interest in entertainment
including movies, music, TV, podcasts, games and publishing. - Computers are
used extensively and thorough knowledge of MSOffice (Excel, Word, Access,
Outlook, Teams) is essential. Knowledge of desktop publishing tools (Adobe,
etc.) and video editing applications (Premiere Pro, etc.) is preferred.
Further training on certain specialist PC programmes may be required beyond
current knowledge, as use of such application programmes is extensive and
complex. - The post holder must be able to articulate clearly and concisely in
both the written and spoken form. Excellent communication skills are of
paramount importance and the job holder must be able to assimilate, interpret
and communicate complex information quickly and effectively. - Having
knowledge of inflight entertainment systems, media encoding and content
