Ensure Proper Inventory Levels:
Overseeing the levels of inventory for the assigned product lines. It requires
a combination of strategic planning and data analysis. The goal is to make
sure that there is neither excess nor insufficient inventory. This is achieved
by utilizing various tools such as reports, trend analysis, and forecasts.
Previous exposure to Supply planning and inventory optimization tools will be
an added advantage because this position will be the key lead and user in
implementing the Group replenishment tool developed in Anaplan on DDMRP
principles. Judgment is also crucial in making decisions based on unique
circumstances.
Manage Purchase Order Process:
In addition to overseeing inventory levels, the role involves managing the
flow of purchase orders. This includes tasks related to supply planning
documentation and record-keeping. It requires attention to detail and accuracy
to ensure that orders are placed and tracked efficiently.
Analyze and Improve Planning Parameters:
Ongoing evaluation and adjustment of planning parameters within the
replenishment file. It involves a combination of data analysis and a deep
understanding of supply chain dynamics. By optimizing these parameters, the
aim is to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of the replenishment process.
Maintain Relationships with Brand Companies and Cross-Functional Teams:
Building and sustaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders,
including brand companies and internal cross-functional teams, is crucial.
Effective communication and collaboration are essential in ensuring alignment
on supply chain strategies and objectives.
Manage Daily Inventory Exception Reports:
Actively monitoring reports that highlight exceptions or anomalies in
inventory levels. Analyzing these reports helps in identifying market needs
and potential risks. Based on these insights, recommendations are made to
maintain the desired level of customer service. Additionally, this
responsibility involves addressing any instances of out-of-stock situations.
Coordinate and Manage Special Projects:
Overseeing special projects related to supply chain operations. Examples
include repackaging, relabeling, or managing local Value-Added Products (VAP).
This involves collaborating with distribution centers to ensure that these
projects meet specified deadlines while also maintaining appropriate inventory
levels.
Support New Product Launches:
When a new product is introduced, this role is responsible for providing
support during the launch phase. This includes estimating the initial net
requirements to ensure timely product launches and controlled inventory
planning. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the setup of new products
within the supply chain system, which includes tasks such as item creation and
label approval.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Taking the initiative to identify and implement opportunities for process
optimization is critical. This could involve finding ways to streamline
operations, adopting new technologies, or implementing best practices. The
goal is to enhance overall performance and efficiency within the supply chain.
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME):
This involves gaining an in-depth understanding of the company's planning
methodology or system. It requires becoming proficient in the tools,
processes, and methodologies used in supply planning. This expertise allows
for more effective decision-making and problem-solving within the role.
Lead and Participate in Relevant Projects:
Taking the lead or contributing to projects that are relevant to the
operations team. This could encompass a wide range of initiatives aimed at
improving various aspects of the supply chain process, from efficiency
enhancements to strategic planning endeavors.
