Logistic Assistant

Job Purpose: To assist IT Service Request Coordinators in receipts, stocking,
issuance, dispatching, transporting, delivery and tracking of IT equipment
requests from IT stores and vendors, ensuring that all services are on time,
secure and delivered with good customer service and presentable manner. Job
Outline: * To inspect and receive IT equipment in stores delivered by vendors
as per specifications and details mentioned in purchase orders or warranty
returned notes. Assist the coordinator in stores generating accurate Good
Receive Note in the Iproq system. * To generate asset codes and stock the
equipment as per item codes, area, rack and bin details mentioned in the
inventory system. * To verify IT Service Request Details and issue the
requested equipment's ensuring the accurate specifications, quantity, delivery
and cost centre details updated in Inventory systems and delivery voucher. *
To arrange and dispatch out bound consignment (standard customs documents,
packing lists, secure packing materials etc) for EK overseas destinations and
hand over to EK service cargo, rush tag owners, external freight forwarders
like DANZAS, Fedex. * To deliver IT hardware such as servers, routers,
switches, desktops, monitor screens and other peripherals in a secure and
timely manner. To deliver and collect special IT equipment to vendor workshops
for repairs and servicing, to ensure the documents details are proper while
taking or handing over the assets. * To record and register all 'transit out'
and 'transit in' transactions of computer equipment to and from IT stores,
Dubai Airport complex, corporate building, EK and Galileo offices in UAE
(manually or using hand held scanners) and carry out proper handover to site
engineers. * To assist SRM team to cater in planned, adhoc and urgent
deliveries to end users including senior executives' residences with good
customer services and presentable manner. * To undertake special assignments
in case of large projects with Network Engineers and Technicians in making
sure the IT hardware is placed and installed as per agreed standard processes
and procedures. (Such as server enclosures, closets). To provide assistance to
site engineers in special cases of events, fairs and exhibitions in arranging
and connecting the IT equipment as per events decor and specific regulations.
* To check vehicles and ensure that vehicles under control are fully
roadworthy at all times. To undertake checks, organise through central
services, scheduled/un-scheduled repairs, cleaning and maintenance and to
ensure that the vehicle registration is valid at all times.
Qualifications & Experience: Information Technology/IT Sales: ‎3+ Years, ‎12
Years schooling or equivalent. Valid UAE driving licence of categories ‎2(car),
‎4(‎30 str) is must. Experience in warehouse/Logistics/transportation/Freight
forwarding in a large organization with good exposure to interact with people
of various nationalities. User support Inventory
