EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Purpose: To drive and operate specialized equipment such as mobile cranes
and liquid waste suction tankers in support of various Aircraft and Facility
maintenance related tasks and to organise and control the waste management
throughout the engineering centre, ensuring that all waste generated in the
engineering complex is handled, stored and subsequently removed from the site
properly and at regular intervals. Job Outline: - Regularly inspect and empty
all liquid and solid waste throughout the engineering centre and ensure that
such waste is stored in designated areas in a safe and orderly condition. -
Liaise with housekeeping sub-contractor to ensure that interior and exterior
aircraft service pits, drainage grills and collection sumps are kept clean and
waste skips and compactors are emptied regularly to avoid overflow. - To
regularly check condition and levels of fuel storage tanks for fire pumps,
electrical generators and paint booths and arrange replenishment when
necessary. - Maintain records of the type and quantity of waste stored and
removed from the engineering centre complex. - Carry out maintenance
activities related to the servicing and cleaning of oil separators, recycling
plants, lifting stations, hazardous liquid storage tanks and waste oil tanks.
- Assist Facility maintenance activities by manoeuvring and operating access
equipment, trucks and fork lift. - To carry out all assigned tasks in the
required time frame and ensure that the entire engineering centre site is
always kept clean and tidy. - Ensure all vehicles and equipment operated are
properly maintained in serviceable condition at all times. - Perform all tasks
safely to the required procedures and standards, as per the manufacturers
recommended guidelines and Dubai municipality regulations.
Qualifications & Experience: Engineering. Other : ‎10 Years schooling or
equivalent : Experience ‎2+yrs in Engineering. Other Knowledge/skills: - Must
possess a heavy duty driving license and be able to pass ADP test. - Previous
experience of operating small capacity cranes necessary. - Must be able to
read, write and communicate proficiently in English. - Must be willing to work
