About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced Leader in Food, Health & Safety? Do you
have ‎6+ years of luxury hospitality expereince promoting worksite safety by
applying knowledge of work processes, mechanics and industrial health and
safety laws? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the
prestigious Atlantis, The Royal team in Dubai as Manager, Health & Safety.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Take all reasonable precautions to protect the health and safety of personnel.


• Implement and maintain an appropriative OSHMS to ensure a high level of safety awareness and that safe system of work are being practiced.


• Prepare and implement OHS plan, emergency preparedness plan and risk assessment.


• Ensure all the safety arrangements are in place during the Events.


• Advice management on: Injury prevention method, Public safety, legal requirements for safety, PPE requirements, managing potential hazards, safe working method, housekeeping issues and First aid.


• Ensure OSH performance monitoring system is in place to ensure the effectiveness of injury prevention and risk management policies and procedures.


• Maintain documents, memos/circulars co-coordinating with HR and Director, procedure documents/project safety & environmental plan requirements.


• Conduct and direct testing to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Carry out weekly EHS inspection.


• Collaborating with other departments to identify and reduce safety risks for staff.


• Investigating OSH incidents and near misses to determine the root causes, trends and adequacy of precautions and training.


• Meeting with employees to know their requirements and concern regarding health and safety .


• Monitor compliance with occupational health and standards and use of PPE.


• Coordinate with local health authorities as and when required.


• Give instructions needed for the prevention of accidents and establishing of protective measures for the safe execution of the projects.


• Prepare accident reports as soon as possible after its occurrence.


• Responsible for ISO ‎22000/Pre-requisite Program implementation through monitoring, coordination, assessment, verification, and follow-up.


• Create, maintain, and verify records of all HACCP and Health and Safety Reports documentation.


• Perform hazard analysis & continual improvement in food safety.


• Makes recommendations for areas of improvement related to Food & Safety.


• Have a complete understanding of Dubai Municipality Health and safety standards/ procedures

About You

We would like you to have a minimum of ‎6 years' experience in UAE as Health &
Safety Professional in a high volume and fast paced environment. You need to
have Bachelor's degree in Food science or similar, knowledge of HACCP/ISO
‎22000-‎2018 standards, NEBOSH & IOSH certifications. Successful candidate will
have to demonstrate strong leadership, communication & problem solving skills
combined with quick decision-making ability. EIAC and Trakhees knowledge is an
added advantage.
