Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Event Sales Manager to lead and manage our Groups
and Events. This position demands following key responsibilities but are not
limited to:
* Organizes site visits, sales calls, sales blitzes and other sales related activities;
* Possesses strong negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and finalize contracts;
* Obtains good knowledge about the local and global accounts (existing and new accounts)
* Develops close cooperation with accounts to drive business and increase market-share
* Maintains all the administration for the segment;
* Plan, arrange, organize, and execute events while meeting or exceeding client/customer expectations.
* Coordinate and communicate event logistics (responsibilities, timelines, etc.) with other departments in order to meet or exceed client/customer expectations, through Hyatt's property management software.
* Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of customer service issues or concerns.
* Additional duties as determined by Director of Events.
* Prepare and be prepared to lead Weekly Group Resume meetings or Daily Standup meeting
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year work experience as Event Manager in a hotel.
* Negotiation and selling skills;
* Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
* Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management.
* Flexible schedule, willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays
* Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
