As part of our strategy to continue to grow and provide our services
internationally, an opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious
Business Teacher to join our school, with the ability to teach up to and
including Key Stage 5. You will be joining our new APAC team of teachers.
Our teachers work from home to deliver live lessons via our online classrooms
where students are encouraged to participate and join in with activities and

About the role
Job Title - Business Leader of Learning
Location - Based in Dubai/UAE - working remotely from home but can include a
hybrid model when requested at times throughout the year.
Full time and Part time considered.
Deputy position considered for the right candidate.

Working Hours
* Up to 37.5 hours per week
* Live Teaching time from Monday to Friday
* The working day for our Leaders of Learning 's on the APAC timetable is to start at 5.10am GST and finish at 1.30pm GST. On some days it may be later according to timetables.
* 35 weeks term time and a further 4 weeks directed time per year.

Job Description
The successful candidates will join a talented team providing excellent online
educational experiences for our students whose ages range between 7 and 18.
The successful candidates will demonstrate expertise and experience of
delivering Business up to KS5.
The successful candidate will:
* Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students within the school
* Be up to date on current research and emerging pedagogy and disseminate this to staff through active engagement in professional development with the learning community
* Take a leading role in maintaining a positive and inspirational learning climate in the subject specialism and, where appropriate, the integration of your subject learning across the curriculum
* Support the self-evaluation of the school 's effectiveness and the development of priorities for improvement
* Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile and act as a role model by their professional conduct and disposition
* Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students
* Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters
* Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to students in a timely manner
* Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities
* Be committed to our Co-curricular offer.
* Undertake any other work as specified by their line manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Ideally the candidate will be qualified up to degree level in a related
subject area and have a recognised teaching qualification, a PGCE with
Qualified Teacher Status.
Skills and attributes - Essential
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Knowledge of the correct Safeguarding procedure
* Knowledge of the education sector in a teaching profession or above
* Ability to work well in teams
* Change and business improvement-focused
* Able to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments
* Experience of working in the primary, secondary or college sector
* Experience of working in state or independent school sector
* Experience with creating resources and the ability to review and enhance our current course delivery
* Computer Literate with the ability to teach online using technology applications

* Knowledge of best ways to engage students in your subject of expertise.
* The capability to drive best practices and have a reputation for delivering high quality material.
* The ability to work well within a team, while having the courage to raise new ideas and support the implementation within the department, with the Leaders of Learning.
* A keen interest within the online teaching and learning environment, with a passion for the learning and development of students.
* A flexible, highly energetic approach and the ability to thrive in a business with a fast changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
* Considerable interpersonal communication skills with the ability to form good relationships both internally and externally.
* The ability to work independently where necessary but in a collaborative team environment where appropriate.
* Show a willingness to support and take on other responsibilities within contractual hours outside of your subject area.
