Department Description:
Priority Banking manages affluent customer relationships, providing a full
range of products and services to meet their needs. Priority Banking is a unit
within the Retail Banking division and manages ~36k priority banking
customers. These are further categorized into 2 sub-segments, Salaried and PFA
customers.
AVP customer Experience is responsible to drive projects and initiatives
across both Sub-Segments across Priority Banking which has ~86 RMs & ~55 CSRs
among other units within PRB Central team. The total branches now under
priority banking service coverage is 98.
The Compliance Administrator role within the segment is an important part of
the overall business support function and is tasked with supporting the unit
with all compliance and regulatory related requests and issues. In addition
the incumbent is also responsible for providing decisions on process related
matters, guidance on operational issues and system related developments along
with monitoring of all compliance related issues.
Brief Description:
The incumbent will be responsible to assist AVP Customer Experience- PRB in
the following :
* Monitoring relevant regulatory requirements and expectations of the bank in order to comply with the bank's compliance policies
* Working with the business to monitor and help the front office teams with the appropriate policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework and industry best practices
* Supporting the teams with key compliance systems and policies such as customer screening, transaction screening, AML monitoring and updating/remediation of KYC records
* Helping the front office staff with management of alert investigations which arise from key Compliance systems and making the necessary escalations to management and disclosures to relevant authorities
* Creating MIS and reports of all activities to support the segment in correctly reporting all actions taken to comply with the bank's policies
* Responding to all regulatory requests to review and provide relevant information (such as customer transactions, policy, procedure, training, compliance monitoring and process details) or cooperation in a timely manner
* Support the segment through maintaining MIS and reports and ensuring all data is updated for audit purposes/reports
Detailed Description:
* Support the teams in managing their daily activities related to compliance with regulatory and bank specific requests/processes
* Ensure all transactions are screened properly before execution
* Act as the focal point for the segment with issues/requests related to the regulatory framework and escalations
* Assist in completion of periodic/annual reviews of High Risk accounts, PEP reviews, material complaints as per the monitoring plan
* Escalate issues/complaints as per the escalation matrix
* Support the teams in following up with the Compliance departments and other stake holders
* Assist the segment in all ongoing group and team projects and any thematic reviews as identified
* Ensure timely completion of ad hoc investigations and other department functions
* Ensure that all documentation and records are updated as required to prevent any gaps in reporting
* Act as main point of contact for the team and coordinate actions to provide all relevant support
* Maintain awareness of all policies and changes to policies/procedures and support with training as required
* Backup the team's other functions as required
* Help to achieve team's objectives and prevent any unnecessary escalations
Job Requirements:
* University Degree in Business or Finance.
* 3 years work experience in Operation/Customer Service (preferably in banking industry) preferably in Retail Banking.
* Knowledge of AML, KYC policies and processes
* Experience in Finacle, MS Excel and MS office
