Duties


Responsible for timely and accurate payments for approximately ‎4,900 vouchers
annually. Voucher types range from vendor invoices and grants to employee
reimbursement payments for ‎19 USG agencies. Responsible for ensuring proper
payment and account reconciliation of assigned accounts including utilities,
leases, employee allowances (housing, education, homeward passage) and
Citibank credit card payments. Processes rejections and advance clearances (TX
vouchers) and responds to Bangkok audit queries as required. Responsible for
preparing the Embassy's VAT annually. Serves as the sole voucher examiner in
Dubai. Serves under guidance of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner based in Abu
Dhabi.


Serves as the alternate Class B Cashier for ‎16 USG agencies at Post. When the
Class B Cashier is out for long periods, operates with the full Class B
accountability. Performs the full range of cashier duties while serving as the
Class B cashier. Reports directly to the Senior Financial Management Officer
while performing cashiering duties.


Qualifications and Evaluations


Requirements:
Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE
residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE nationals, the Mission
assists in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE.
Refer to Eligibility Question #‎2 and Vacancy Question #‎1: If a non-UAE
national has a valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility
Q#‎2 and Vacancy Q#‎1 and attach a copy of residency visa.


EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressive experience in payments and cashiering is
required.
Education Requirements:
University studies in Accounting, Finance, business or related field is
required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level ‎4 - Fluent (reading, speaking and writing) English is
required. " This may be tested. "

is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed
forces under honorable conditions within ‎120 days after the certification is

character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for
