Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Vice President to lead the Commercial Market
Strategy in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey for our premium, midscale, and
economy brands. The successful candidate will work in line with the MEAPACT
Chief Commercial Officer's vision with a direct reporting line to the Chief
Operating Offer, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, to develop and execute
commercial and business development strategies, designed to achieve topline
performance targets, and optimize business results while driving SMDL income
in line with budget.
As the Vice President, you will provide strategic direction, guidance, and
leadership to the Commercial Directors and ensure the execution of strategies
from specialist team members. You will identify synergies, best practices, and
drive business improvement across the region. Success will be defined through
the achievement of commercial KPIs and specific priority hotel outcome KPIC,
the delivery of priority hotel action plans, completion of projects, regional
financial goals, and fulfilment of promises to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Commercial Directors with strategic direction, guidance, and support on commercial concepts and operational decisions for the segment and key strategic hotels.
* Implement and maintain processes designed to achieve topline performance goals.
* Collaborate with Commercial specialist teams to lead the implementation of an effective Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, and Revenue Management startegy, relevant for markets in Middle East Africa and Turkey.
* Work in conjunction with key Revenue, Sales and Marketing teams (corporate and hotel) to drive performance and shift market share for key assets.
* Develop and foster relationships with owners to instil confidence, demonstrate Accor's value proposition, and drive strong owners' engagement across the Hub.
* Develop and grow key strategic commercial partnerships across Middle East, Africa and Turkey to assist in maximising performance
* Develop relevant strategies and tactics for the segments and key priority hotels that result in creative revenue generation and improvement, lowered costs, increased efficiency, and improved operating margin.
* Active participation in annual budget and commercial strategy plan process.
* Conduct annual strategic property reviews for key assets.
* Review budgets/forecasts with Commercial Directors, GMs, Regional Vice Presidents, and other stakeholders.
* Identify and address macro performance trends while remaining close to the micro-trends impacting key markets and segments.
* Ability to manage senior stakeholders and execute multifaceted plans across a variety of functions and markets..
* Cross-functional coordination between commercial and operations.
Qualifications
* Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in senior commercial roles or hotel sales, marketing, and/or revenue specialist roles.
* Master's degree or equivalent is an advantage.
* Proactive leader with strengths in developing talent.
* Strategic communication skills, including presenting to high-level business leaders..
