Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor daily operations and ensure implementation of best practices in receiving in the warehouse, preparing the orders, and planning and dispatching shipments based on customers' requirements.
* Monitor and ensure the preparation and storage of goods in an effective way according to UL quality standards.
* Ensure full utilization of trucks during planning and full volumes to be serviced by dedicated fleet.
* Ensure 3PL performances are meeting expected service levels in term of lead-time, quality & cost. This will be done through regular calls and meetings to maintain the working relationship with the supplier.
* Prepare and maintain accurate metrics, reports, and process documentation for management.
* Collaborate with other departments to drive efficiency in logistics operation in terms of fleet and manpower planning.
* Contribute to the business development by analyzing logistical problems and proposing new solutions to streamline the operation.
* Supervise the reverse logistics operation ensuring all customers receive their credit notes in a 24-hour window from the time of receival.
* Analyze hiring data for fleet & manpower. Derive plans to reduce spend while maintaining service levels to customers in the market.
* Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned team members; assign workloads to team members in order to ensure full cross functional understanding of the operation.
* Manage warehouse accuracy and ensure physical and system stocks are reconciled and matching 99.9% on a weekly basis.
* Manage quarterly physical stock counts including the preparation pre, during and post the count.
* Observe health and safety regulations with support from safety team and lead the safety agenda to the full team as per the planned safety agenda.
Skills and knowledge:
* BSc/BA in engineering, business administration, supply chain or logistics management.
* Excellent English and Arabic - spoken and written.
* IT-savvy with an Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), good knowledge of BI tools would be a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with a pro-active approach in finding out innovative solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Problem solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
* Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities with a capability to define priorities when needed.
* working knowledge of WMS (SAP).
