Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently
beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern
industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly
energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon
footprint of the HPC industry.
Job Description
The General Manager MAE will establish, lead and grow PASQAL 's first
headquarters in the Middle East and Africa.
The General Manager is critical for the expansion, strategy and success of
PASQAL in one of the most significant emerging markets in the technology
sector.

Main Responsibilities:
* Develop, propose and execute a comprehensive market strategy and business plan for Saudi Arabia to drive market visibility, revenue growth and profitability.
* Hire, lead, coach and develop an effective local team across functions like sales, marketing, engineers, operations… in ‎2024 to ensure achievement of objectives.
* Achieve global goals that will be provided each year by the HQ.
* Build strategic relationships and partnerships with key public and private stakeholders in Saudi Arabia. Be proactive in the development of the key partnership with Saudi Aramco.
* Manage day-to-day operations, P&L, budget and forecasting to high-growth targets for Saudi Arabia.
* Lead government relations, regulatory approvals and policy to enable PASQAL's smooth entry and expansion in the area.
* Identify risks and issues related to regional operations and determine effective mitigation approaches.
* Guide marketing, branding and PR in collaboration with the HQ to establish PASQAL positioning and visibility in Saudi Arabia.
* Represent the company at conferences and events across the region.
* In collaboration with PASQAL's HQ, follow all the steps for a smooth and effective QPU deployment by ‎2025 in Saudi Arabia.

* ‎15+ years of experience in senior management roles in global technology companies based in MEA.
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and new market expansion.
* Strong executive relationships with government agencies, regulators and local companies.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and quantum computing in MEA.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation and presenting skills.
* Strong negotiation abilities with multi-national companies.
* Strategic thinking and operational execution.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, a doer with force of proposal.
* Fluent in Arabic and English, other languages are a plus.
