JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the
Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment,
support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi
Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment
in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Carrying out surface finish restoration maintenance activities;
* Carrying out other shop duties as directed;
* Raising TPRFs against approved data;
* Assist with raising TQs for any aircraft component related anomalies;
* Support the work centre Supervisor in ensuring shift handovers are accurate;
* Adhering to tool control procedures;
* Adhering to the use of only approved data;
* Carrying out good husbandry practices;
* Maintain accurate log books for the assigned RSAF technician.
* Liaise with RSAF and PC management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls.
* Support the production of weekly & monthly progress reports to identify training progression.
* Assist the training co-ordinator by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and PC personnel as required.
* Providing standby cover as directed in support of Sqn operations
* Deputise for the work centre trade supervisor during periods of leave or absence.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential:
* Qualified to National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship - Corrosion Control/Paint
OR
* HNC Level in Engineering or equivalent.
* Qualification practical aircraft maintenance experience OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP).
* Have equipment specific training and relevant type training if required.
* Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
* Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

Desirable :
* Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
