Job Description
* Executes/supervises and administers CI projects, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, authority requirements, zoning, applicable codes, design and construction specifications.
* Reviews engineering details as required to execute works, including Contractor's inspections, surveys and testing requests.
* Ensures that the Design Engineers design intent is delivered by the Contractor- responsible for dealing with any on-site design issues.
* Addresses modifications requested by the Client in co-ordination with the Design Engineer.
* Assists the ARE/RE in reviews and selection of materials and equipment that comply with approved material submittals.
* Supports the ARE/RE to issue engineering correspondence.
* Highlights violations to construction/ engineering related issues on-site through the issuance of NCRS.
* Attends progress reviews and co-ordination meetings to assist the ARE/RE in resolving any site issues such as discrepancies in the project drawings.
* Participates in the coordination and monitoring of snagging and project handover
* Provides support to the ARE/RE to ensure the project runs smoothly by providing expert knowledge and advice.
* Liaises with the Design Engineer on modifications if required.
* Provides daily site reports and highlights issues that arise on-site to the ARE/RE.
* Prepares Minutes of Meetings, written and oral reports as delegated by the RE.
* Coordinates with the Contractor regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
* Reviews as-built drawings in coordination with Inspectors and Surveyors.
* Additional specific requirements for Architect-Landscape:
* Performs necessary architectural/engineering calculations.
* Prepares specifications, reports and related data tables.
* Prepares, reviews, and approves drawings as required.
* Under the Supervising Architect's direction, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
* Assists the ARE/RE in reviewing and selecting materials and equipment that comply with approved material submittals (pavement, hard and soft landscape, monuments, water features, etc.).
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience (GCC exposure is preferred)
* Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural etc.)
