Job Description:

involved on a wide variety of analytical tasks on complex projects? Parsons is
now hiring a Senior Construction Planner for our rapidly expanding portfolio
of major programs.
Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your planning
knowledge and engineering techniques will propel your career forward. We need
our Senior Construction Planners at this level to apply diverse and intensive
proficiency in the use of technical theories, practices, and company policies.
In this role you will provide technical direction to a team of planning
professionals and technicians on a large program of works . Our planners are
responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed,
regulatory compliance, and for on schedule completion within or below budget
in accordance with contractual obligations.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in field of practice.
Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise. Monitors
productivity and proficiency of assigned personnel.
Establishes budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope and
schedule.
Reviews work produced by those assigned to ensure that all applicable
policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques
are utilized, and that quality is acceptable.
Engages services of outside consultants when warranted.
Maintains active membership in appropriate professional organizations and
societies. Represents the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be
appropriate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Min 10 to 15+ years of related work experience
Certified Planner Certification is preferred at this level
Diverse experience and knowledge in creating complex schedules for the pre
construction stage and construction stage of large scale works including
highways, earthworks, bridges, structures, foundations, tunnelling and
utilities.
Experience in creating, developing, integrating, monitoring, performance
reporting, earned value and other metrics for schedules.
Expert user in Primavera P6
Expert in creating WBS and CBS structures for schedules.
Significant experience of using Excel, Powerpoint and other MS Office
applications.
Ability to evaluate the integrity and robustness of works contractors tender
and construction schedules.
Experience in analysing schedules for change and delay.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with designers, contractors, internal
and external stakeholders.
Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, collaborative
and people skills.
Proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project
