Your Impact:


At Jacobs, ports aren 't just structures but are ways we connect people and
goods. We're seeking Inspectors to help support with oversight on everyday
project tasks on a major port project. This role will help you grow your
career, but also grow client relationships and business development
opportunities for Jacobs.
Jacobs is delivering engineering and construction management services on a
significant port project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The port is to be the
world's first state-of-the-art container terminal integrated with a logistics
hub at its core, whilst continuing to serve a variety of other commodities
through its general cargo facility and bulk handling equipment. The port has a
rail connection as well as an automated warehouse to support the supply chain.
Project scope mainly comprises of Marine works including quay walls,
breakwater, revetment and dredging, Onshore civil, electrical, mechanical, and
structural works, buildings, and Rail.
Working from our client's site in Saudi Arabia, as an Inspector you will be
reporting to the Resident Engineer and assisting in supervising the
Construction Supervision (CS) staff on site.
Successful candidates will perform inspections of port and marine terminal
structures during construction to evaluate Contractor methods, workmanship,
quality, and conformance with contract documents. Candidates will evaluate
construction materials for quality and compliance with specifications; perform
related work such as data collection, report writing and record-keeping.
Employees at this level typically work autonomously on assignments but are
expected to provide quality daily reports and regularly communicate with
Resident Engineers and Construction Managers on site.
You will be working with other Engineers and Inspectors for the supervision of
the construction of the works.
You will be able to ultilise your knowledge / communication skills by building
trusted relationships with the Project Managers and with the client &
contractor's counterpart staff. You will be focused on helping to implement
safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of
construction.

As a successful candidate you will have a technical/Engineering degree or a
technical diploma from a recognized institution with a background in site
supervision and management of Ports & Marine Projects, specifically heavy port
and infrastructure works projects.
