Job Summary
The Senior Tax Manager will support the Group Head of Treasury & Tax, CFO and
Group Finance. The key functionality is having a leadership role within the
Tax function developing and executing Tax Strategy across Group and Business
Unit Finance. You will be involved at a very strategic level and at an
interesting time for the Group in supporting current business growth
strategies and executing on the international tax agenda. Activities include
providing timely input to the business in an advisory capacity; risk and
strategic compliance support; leading Group Tax projects
Job Responsibilities
* Set out medium and long term tax strategy, given international, regional and country specific tax developments in conjunction with the evolution of the business
* Developing, monitoring and maintaining tax design behind Alghanim Industries’ corporate structure taking into consideration Group Finance objectives.
* Analysis and delivery of solutions for global, trans-regional tax developments (such as BEPS, Pillar 2)
* Subject matter expertise on a number of divisional specific topics such as financing, IP, country specific tax regimes.
* End-to- end entire tax management of the entire division (strategy & structuring, accounting & reporting, compliance, controversy & dispute resolution, transfer pricing, control framework)
* Identify and negotiate preferential tax regimes & tax rulings
* Management and monitoring of the divisional tax position including tax accounting, compliance, year-end audit
* Tax accrual process for the region both for corporate income tax and transactional taxes
* Risk assessment and control of all applicable taxes including tax provisioning
* Manage TP strategy, design, documentation & compliance
* Manage tax audits and tax litigation, including negotiations with local tax authorities
* Develop, implement and maintain tax reporting tools
* Develop, implement and maintain tax repository and tax digitalization tools
* Ensure effective use of external advisers - in terms of quality and cost

Experience
University degree in tax law or fiscal economics
Good understanding of accounting concepts and processes
Skills/Competencies
Must be self-motivated in researching and being aware of latest developments and trends in this area that may have an impact on the Group as a whole or individual businesses and geographies
