Job description

A day in your life with us:
To lead, develop and inspire the Service Office (SO) team, other SO functions
and the store Graphic Communication Leaders in securing that store
communication completes and amplifies the shopping experience and range
presentation through IKEA visual and verbal identity thereby contributing to
building consumers' perception of the IKEA Brand as unique and consistent.
* Lead and inspire store Graphic Communication Leaders to develop their graphic communication competence and strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in all store communication.
* Lead the process of creating and providing store communication that conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept, completes and enhances range presentation using proven solutions, recommended principles, guidelines and national directions.
* Be a strong partner for store Graphic Communication Leaders in developing, implementing and evaluating store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience using knowledge about life at home and shopping behaviour in the national market.
* Actively support the development and execution of the country business plan and department action plan with store communication initiatives that are focused on growing the business and supporting long-term profitability.
* Contribute with deep knowledge and competence about store communication in working together with the Com &In team and other SO functions. This includes acting quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understanding the impact of these actions on the financial results.
* Contribute actively to the network of Country Graphic Communication Leaders and share proven solutions, recommended principles and guidelines with store Graphic Communication Leaders.
* Coach and support store Graphic Communication Leaders in securing high standards for visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing all store communication.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge about home furnishing, graphic communication and retail design trends in order to support store Graphic Communication Leaders in workshops to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity.

Qualification

* Education and experience gained in graphic communication design, media and typography.
* Creative and commercial visual competence, including a keen eye for aesthetics. Proven customer-focused mindset.
* Clear communication and coaching skills, i.e. the ability to explain concepts verbally and visual interpretation. Set and implement action plans over a number of years, set expectations, provide clear direction and follow up goals.
* Proven ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available and meet agreed goals and deadlines.
* Communicate confidently and clearly in English. Experienced in problem solving.
* Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools.
