Responsibilities
Conducts PBMC purification, ELISA, western blotting, conventional and real-
time PCR, insulin sensitivity assays, Immunostaining, flow cytometry
Performs cell culture experiments, achieving endpoints which include
inflammatory mediators and/or molecular analysis, Insulin sensitivity
indicators.
Performs experimental animal work related to the projects as needed
Executes experimental work in collaboration with other team members
Performs data analysis and communicates and presents scientific findings at
lab. meetings
Maintains detailed experimental records and laboratory notebook
‎2.BMBU - Research Technical Specialist I
Responsibilities
Review, comprehend and comply to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and
Quality Assurance (QA) standards for laboratory animal research.
Assist veterinarian in performing surgical procedures on animals.
Monitor animal stocks for soundness, good health and welfare through animal
health observation on daily basis.
‎3.Biomedical Engineer I - Kuwaiti National only - Biomedical Engineering
Responsibilities
Receives and provides guidance, orientation and exposure to all
responsibilities , duties and service training on equipment
Assists and trains BME technicians in maintenance and repair of equipment
Liaise closely with medical professionals, doctors and lab technicians with
supplying companies and their agents/engineers
Be proficient with specialty equipment in multiple models

‎5.Postdoctoral Fellow - Clinical Care Research & Trials
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Head of unit with many of the tasks involved with the
smooth running of clinical trials in compliance with DDI processes.
Collaborate in taking action to address issues as they arise
Conceptualize and conduct short-term experiments and research activities in
support of broad-based/longitudinal research projects, ensuring consistency
with established methodological approaches and models, adherence to project
timelines, and completeness of documentation.
Help manage clinical, regulatory and study-related essential documents such as
study protocols, Case Report Forms, Informed Consent Forms, etc.; review
documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with protocol and
appropriate regulations. Identify issues and take appropriate corrective
action as necessary
Liaise with the ERC regarding ethical submission of all research within the
unit.
Work independently in designing, organizing, and conducting research
Provide supervision and guidance to junior members of staff

calls and data entry on REDCAP.
Develop policies and procedures for DDRH.
Expand pharmaceutical services provided to Dasman and the public through the
establishment of DDRH.
