GovCIO is currently hiring for a CATV Technician III. This position will be
located in ASAB, Kuwait with positions also located in PSAB, KSA and ADAB,UAE.
This position will be onsite.
Responsibilities
Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation,
configuration, or enhancement of electrical products.
Checks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to
specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as
necessary.
Cuts wire to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates
connections with plastic sleeves. Attaches wire or complicated electrical
systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels,
and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts, screws, or solder. May monitor
and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control
procedures.

Qualifications
Clearance required: Secret Clearance
High School with ‎6 - ‎9 years (or commensurate experience)
Lead-level practical experience in: installations, repair, and troubleshooting
or maintenance of communications systems or equipment; solving complex
problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits, and the ability to
exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications
systems or equipment
Expert in CATV equipment: downlink antennas; LNBs; decoders; modulators;
signal monitors; fiber optic distribution equipment; video ticker system;
Phase Alternating Line (PAL) encoding system

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this
position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary
depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-
related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The
total compensation package for this position may also include other
compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired,
employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to
modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation
program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance,
GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
