Job Description
The Microwave / Transmission Engineer shall be capable of performing
operations and maintenance on
the Aviat Networks equipment and Provision Management (in addition to the
vendor of offered equipment).
The Transmission Engineer shall be capable of performing interference studies
on microwave paths and performing antenna alignment.
The person shall possess the capability to perform path loss calculations for
system verification.
In addition, he must possess the knowledge to perform radio system message in-
depth analysis and apply problem resolution.
He must possess the skills to perform complete radio systems management and
maintenance.
SKILLS
The Microwave / Transmission Engineer shall minimum have a Bachelor of Science
(BS) Degree in Communications or related Engineering.
The person shall have a minimum of seven (‎7) years’ experience in the
installation, test, and maintenance of microwave radio systems including
antenna alignment.
The microwave/transmission engineer shall also have experience in
understanding and interpreting microwave path profiles.
The microwave/transmission engineer shall have work experience on the Aviat
Networks or the OEM
equipment which will be offered and Provision Management.
Capability to articulate a technical solution and demonstrate it on a
whiteboard.
Experience developing network diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
Strong documentation skills - to be utilized for case management, knowledge
capture, defect management, and Trainings.
Very strong problem-solving skills
Ability to recreate customer problems in lab in order to isolate the issue and
resolve it.
Proven crisis management skills, and the ability to excel under pressure.
Demonstrates excellence in customer interaction, written and verbal
communication, and assertive leadership.
Familiarity with industry codes standards and practices for electric utility
practice.
Interpersonal, communication skills and Attention to detail.
Be proficient with safety standards.
Good to have CWNP or related certification.
With Kuwaiti or Dubai Driver's license
