About the role
The cloud features team needs a strong, strong back-end developer who is
aligned with the company's core values and who can help the team build
features. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career as a Senior
Backend Engineer during an exciting period of hyper-growth. You will work
closely with the Cloud Engineering Features Team Lead to design and deliver
solutions that will enable Time Doctor to scale and remain a market leader.
All of this will be achieved through your ability to deliver and collaborate
with a team of talented engineers. You will have the opportunity to work with
a range of cutting-edge technologies on a product with significant growth
opportunities
Your responsibilities
Exceptional ability to build and scale high-performance systems.
Create elegant, well-tested code that is easy to maintain and ensures high
performance at scale.
Use an engineering mindset to have an impact on how we are able to continually
improve our products from a functional and broad perspective.
Continuous learning and research into engineering trends to ensure we are
always using the most appropriate technology available.
Required skills and experience
At least ‎4 years of professional backend experience, ideally working on large-
scale Nodejs applications, with experience in MongoDb ideally with some retail
experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Nodejs and a deep understanding
of backend frameworks and technologies such as NestJs.
Experience in in-memory database like Redis.
Experience in test-driven development and continuous delivery.
- Proficiency in database design and improvement, especially in MongoDB.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot
complex technical issues.
Experience working in a product-focused SaaS company, preferably during a
significant growth phase.
Experience working with GCP technologies eg (BigQuery, CloudRun, PubSub)
BigQuery is desirable.
Proven leadership experience with the right attitude and problem-solving
skills.
