Del Monte Kuwait for General Trading of Foodstuff is looking for (HSE
Officer).
The Main Purpose of the role:
· To ensure all work done in the facility follows health and safety standards.
· To ensure hygiene of employees and sanitation of the plant.
Responsibilities:
· Inspecting and reporting any non-conformity or incidents/accidents to the QA
& HSE Manager
· Inspecting and reporting personnel hygiene of production workers,
cleanliness of the production lines (CIP), assuring environmental monitoring
status and optimal hygiene in the facility.
· Inspection and reporting any non-conformity in the workers accommodation
· Health and Safety orientation to new employees
· Updating the department with the local and international standards relating
to Health and Safety
· Assigning duties and responsibilities to the HSE sanitation team
· Inspecting and reporting cleanliness of the facility and ensuring that the
sanitation workers are doing their job
· Waste management monitoring, which includes the hauling of fruit waste and
organizing trash trips by supplier
· Monitoring the issuing of chemicals to the production and ensuring that
proper dilution is being met during processing.
· Perform mock drills for fire, ammonia in plant and accommodation in
different shifts. Prepare report for the mock drills.
· Assist team for contingency drill, intrusion drill, mock recall,
traceability exercise. Identify shortcomings. Prepare report.
· Review Emergency response plan guidance, first Aid Procedure, Travel path
procedure, Fire Protection impairment Procedure, HSE Manual, Laundry program,
Pest Control procedure.
· Periodic inspection of the fire pumps once, fire extinguishers, sprinklers,
eye wash, emergency shower etc. Timely communication to relevant department
for any shortcomings.
· Frequent inspection of the first aid points, communicating shortcomings,
provide first aid, provide when needed
· Prepare plan and perform HSE audits and risk assessments of the warehouse,
Engineering workshop, Logistic workshop, production area, Mobile machines,
employees’ accommodation,
· Preparation of the Emergency Evacuation maps and other safety related
posters / infographics.
· Ensure chemicals control on site. Keep MSDS of the chemicals, Give COSHH
trainings to the team members.
· Filling the inspection checklist online of the CCTVs once in month,
Ophthalmic Inspection of the CCTVs on weekly basis, Monitoring of all zones
through the CCTVs.
Knowledge and Skills needed: (Qualifications of the position)
· NEEBOSH IGC or IOSH qualified
· Train the Trainer (Training skills)
· COSHH & Chemical Safety
· Occupational health and safety background

· Risk Assessment skills
· Sustainability awareness
