Summary: The Global Tax Operations Team is a component of the Global
Operations Finance organisation.The Team is in charge to create and file CIT
reports & returns, tax accounting, tax reconciliations and tax audits for Gas
Power GE legal entities/divisions in META region

Job Description

• Handles tax reporting and tax accounting processes including forecasting, tax provision, compliance, and settlement across META region


• Prepare/review income tax provisions and calculations, tax returns, tax payments, return to accrual calculations, deferred tax calculations and account reconciliations across META region


• Prepare annual return to accrual analysis across META region


• Examine and evaluate deferred tax and current tax payable balances in accordance with GE GAP and GE MAP


• Ensure correctness of the income tax calculations / returns by identifying potential errors, proposing and recording corrections for portion of the Income Tax process owned by Global Operations Tax


• Interact with cross-functional teams within the organization


• Support Income Tax audits work together with external service providers across META region
  
  Qualifications / Requirements:


• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university


• Prior experience within Tax Accounting, Tax Accounting Reconciliations and Tax Operations across META region


• Adequate tax accounting and tax experience across META countries


• Familiarity with current and deferred income tax accounting and tax compliance across META region


• Written and verbal fluency in English


• Strong analytical skills and fast learner


• Excellent communication skills


• Willing to share new information and knowledge within the teams
  Desired Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred


• Experience or exposure of oil & gas and/or power and/or energy is a plus


• Written and verbal fluency in French


• Written and verbal fluency in Arabic
