You will be working as Service Engineer, and will be the part of Process
Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in, Cairo,
Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Service Delivery Manager will be
responsible to design authority for an engineering discipline with low to
medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of
larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract
specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Technical contribution coordinate engineering discipline across several projects, provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Design and conduct experiments, analyze, and interpret data and prepare complete project documents in one 's area of responsibility, serve as a specialist in application of advanced concepts and methods.


• Sales support assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimate engineering hours, etc.). Contract management support Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.) and provide cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.


• Planning and control create work plans and cost estimate in one's area of responsibility, review and approve scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensure quality deliverable on time and within target cost. Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.


• Risk and opportunity management complete risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility. Report any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution.


• Customer Interact with customers, officials, contractors, and others, attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments. Supply chain management collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers. Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accept as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.


• Technical leadership and knowledge share maintain network of engineering professionals and share engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines. Process and tools develop, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and tools, and ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Report process and tools inefficiency and suggest ideas for improvements.


• People leadership and development coach, provide support and technical advice to colleagues, assign tasks for and direct engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. May functionally lead a small team.

Your background

• Electrical engineering/ Mechatronic engineering.


• ‎1 to ‎4 years of experience.


• Experience in Service industry, knowledge of ABB products/systems.


• Fluency in both spoken and written English language is a must.
