The German University in Cairo seeks applicants for a position at the rank of
Teaching Assistant at the Mathematics Department.
The particular fields of teaching activities are Calculus of Differentiation
and Integration, Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations, Discrete
Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, and Statistics. It is expected that an
applicant is interested in mathematics and able to professionally conduct
teaching activities.
A mathematics teaching assistant assists the department head, faculty members,
or other professional staff members of the mathematics department by
performing teaching or teaching-related duties, such as teaching tutorial
classes assigned to a lecture, developing teaching material, and preparing and
conducting quizzes in corporation with the lecturer.
Qualifications
* A mathematics teaching assistant must have a B.Sc. preferably in Science "Mathematics" or related topics such as engineering and computer science.
Requirements
* The candidate should have a solid understanding of the following topics.
1. Differential and Integral Calculus
2. Algebra
3. Ordinary Differential Equations
4. Discrete mathematics
5. Numerical Analysis, and
6. Statistics
