The German University in Cairo invites applications for the following
vacancies to be filled effective October 2021 or February 2022.
Position Description:
The German University in Cairo is looking for highly able and motivated
applicants wishing to join the Mathematics Department. Successful candidates
will be expected to contribute in undergraduate and graduate teaching of
mathematics courses, to lead research in various fields of mathematics with
emphasis on applied mathematics, supervise graduate and undergraduate
students, and take part in administrative work.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in a mathematical branch of study, with solid
knowledge of mathematical methods in engineering. The ideal candidate will be
an energetic researcher who is committed to excellence in research and
teaching within a multi-cultural environment. While the Mathematics Department
solicits applicants with research interest in various areas of mathematics,
applicants with interest and expertise in applied mathematics are particularly
interesting.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their curriculum vitae including
employment history, a statement outlining research and teaching interests,
list of publications and projects undertaken and names of at least three
referees.
