This programme is undergoing a transformation, which will increase the focus
on Cyber Security and technical skills. One of the main changes is that we
will no longer teach Programming, and we will expect instead that students
enrolling in our programme have a good background in programming, consistent
with the obtention of a BSc in Computer Science. Students with limited
programming skills are likely to struggle in this intensive programme.
Although the entry requirements of the MSc remain the same as before, we ask
you to self assess your programming skills using the Raphael Poss matrix:

your application which clearly includes which of the following options
corresponds the best to your self-assessment (in the following, we consider
that C2 is the highest score, while the lowest score is not meeting the
requirements for A1):
1. The highest score I have in any category is A1
2. I reach A1 or A2 for all categories
3. I reach B1 or B2 for some categories, and at least A1 for all the others
4. All my scores are at the B or C levels.
Your statement must include evidence for your self-assessment, such as a
programming module that you have taken or plan to take, or work experience. As
much as possible, try to answer this question as you expect your programming
skills to be when starting the MSc programme. Applications without this
statement will not be considered.

provided as soon as possible and by no later than 10 June 2022.
