Your Role
Perform Project Leadership for new product development projects and cross
functional teams from concept through production based on customer / marketing
directives. Responsible for execution and delivery of product
industrialization assignments ranging in various degrees of complexity from
component, system development, manufacturing, purchase and commercial
readiness. Applies sound project management principles in planning, leading
and tracking all project goals to ensure accomplishment of defined goals and
objectives within time and budget. Coordinates with all departments, vendors,
customers and others as defined within the scope of the project. Provides
management with periodic updates of project status as required.
This position is located in a plant and reports to the R&D Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement product concepts and ideas from customers and marketing
into executable project requirements.
Act on behalf of the Steering Committee and make decisions within agreed
project scope. Continually review the on-going validity of the project and
recommend to Steering Committee whether or not the project should continue
and/or change scope.
Establish, track and report of project plans through use of established
Project Management Tools (Checkpoint process) and use of best project
management practices (Schedules / resource plan / project tracking)
Chair and report at all project meetings to include design reviews, check
point reviews, weekly meeting as defined
Develop and track the project expenses for projects assigned, as well as
investment request creation and drive for approval
Ensure the project development from Opportunity Assessment until start of
production
Interface and coordinate follow ups with Marketing, Product Line, R&D, EGD
(Electrolux Global Design) Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, supply chain
and outside suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all project requirement /
deliverables
Responsible for identifying and prioritizing critical activities needed to
achieve project objectives
Responsible for managing risk pro-actively
Key Measurement of success:
On-time execution of Project Launch schedule, Project budget control and
monitoring, Project Direct material cost monitoring, Project Quality (SCR).
