AP Section Head

Job Description

• Follow up on their team members on the agreed deadline and accounts reconciliation. *


• Collaborate with procurement and treasury on the expected cash projections. *


• Resolve all financial issued related to AP. *


• Attend meetings with suppliers, vendors and finance reps when needed. *


• Review of accounting entries on the system and recorded invoices. *


• Reconcile GL entries in terms of prepayments, amortizations, advances, accrued expenses. *


• Follow up petty cash balances and issue settlements. *


• Perform monthly audit for employee's expenses. *


• Assist in month end/year end closing and produce monthly reports & periodic audits. *


• Review all LoBs/Departments' payment requests to ensure that they are allowable and authorized. *


• Analyze all expense per LoB and compare with the budget report *


• Collaborate with team members to perform their daily tasks on a timely basis. *


• Overview of submission of all quarterly and annually reports related to financial packages.


• Send periodic confirmation to all externa & internal parties to ensure that the company's payables balance matches with the company balance.


• Coaches, develops, motivates, monitors, and follows up on team members' performance, quality, and adherence for improving productivity and skills to ensure people development and high performance. *


• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for the AP team. *


• Lead, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures *


• Set performance objectives, provide the necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting or equivalent.


• ‎10-‎15 years of relevant experience


• Shows good knowledge in IFRS.


• Experience in projects/subcontracting companies.


• Should participate at least ‎2 full cycle.


• Experience with the following:


• AP: Work Bench details, Setups and configurations, key reports analysis, details on specific standalone features provided by oracle).


• GL: Configuration and setting up. Awareness on the key features provided by Oracle GL - Revaluation, consolidation, translation, general options, and allocations. Report development by BI


• Cash Management: Bank Reconciliation Processes - Manual and Automating. Cash forecasting procedures Dependency on other financial modules.


• Fixed Assets: Asset Creation process - Manual and Automatic. Awareness of Asset category definitions - Depreciation rule, methods, etc. Creation of Asset Books and Calendars.


• BI/Hyperion/EPM (added advantage).


• OUM Implementation Methodology: Documentation procedures across different phases of the projects.


• Configuration and setups: Hands on experience in performing setup and configuration
  .•Excellent proficiency of English (written and spoken)
