Head of Procurement role will make an impact:
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Centralized leadership and management of all procurement activities occurring at the market, drives efficiencies and the development of new strategies to support stakeholders and optimize budgets under their responsibility.
* Provide operational and strategic support including planning and executing sourcing projects and negotiations and managing critical stakeholder engagements.
* The role is also responsible for Business Process and Operations support, including Procure to Pay (P2P) strategies as applicable.
* The role acts as liaison with others in region and within Global Procurement to provide input into Market strategy and implement appropriate initiatives to support it.
* The role is responsible to develop, manage and enhance supplier relationships and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
* This role manages site direct and indirect procurement and serve as site liaison with corporate functions when new suppliers and GMP materials are introduced to site and serve as site procurement point of contact for new product launch support.
* This role leads category management for site direct and Indirect categories, commercial professional and Scientific services and Fleet.
I - Category strategy collaboration and operational implementation
* Support CSMs in the management of the category plans for assigned categories. In particular, provide data analysis and Market specific knowledge to aid CSM in category strategy execution.
* Apply appropriate strategic sourcing elements and associated tools for all projects and educated cross-functional teams in best practice.
* Deliver the operational requirements related to assigned categories to ensure the business needs are satisfied.
* Identify ways of improving the Procurement processes, tools, policies, and procedures, to drive efficiency and proactive engagement in opportunities.
II - Sourcing Activity and Contract Negotiation
* Seek and exploit leverage opportunities across the Global Sourcing network of commodities.
* Support the management and approval of contracts to ensure compliance with legislation and the company's policies and procedures in collaboration with the Viatris Legal Department.
* Ensure savings and added value are tracked and reported into Smart Source Sourcing tool in a timely fashion to present the most current view of delivery.
* Act in support of Procurement Lead and team to implement the P2P dimension of Sourcing Strategies.
III - Supplier Relationship Management:
* Support the development of supplier relationships across assigned categories and ensure appropriate risk management is undertaken.
* Support CSMs in the development and implementation of plans for evaluating and measuring supplier performance of strategic suppliers through the Global Sourcing Supplier Relationship Management process.
* Participate on Global and Regional teams that evaluate supplier performance in assigned categories.
* Support the ongoing cost savings opportunities within supplier contracts and operational processes.
* Mediate to resolve service-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
IV - Client Engagement and Customer Relationship Management:
* Execute stakeholder strategy and communication plan to support engagement at a strategic and operational level.
* As assigned, engage with key customers to identify opportunities to build & implement improved supply solutions and best practices.
* Embed Procurement as part of the business planning cycle to ensure proactive contribution to the business is agreed for the subsequent period.
* Develop and enhance Procurement relationships with clients at the market / site level, from the procurement business process perspective.
* Ensure clear, effective communication exists between all parties involved.
* Provide communication between market / site issues and Procurement management.
V - Reporting & Analysis
* Support the analytical requirements defined by the Global Sourcing reporting line, including but not limited to:
* Data gathering (internal and external) including Business requirements.
* Market and supplier analysis
* Data management
* Work with internal functional experts, suppliers, and at times consultants, to implement and document various procurement team strategies and operational improvement efforts.
* Develop well-rounded industry knowledge in various subcategory groupings as required to support market and/or site.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
* Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain/Procurement, Engineering, or related field required.
* Minimum ‎10 years work experience in Procurement or related discipline, ideally within a large multi-national manufacturing company
* Experience in operations and quality management systems is preferred.
* Ability to work both as a team member and an individual towards departmental objectives.
* Developing understanding of the end-to-end Procurement process including experience of Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management.
* Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
* Fluent English a must.
* Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
* Good Analytical and reporting Skills.
* A team player who is willing to go above and beyond to meet goals and objectives.
* Ability to work as a team member and/or independently towards departmental objectives.
* Strong organizational skills, capacity to quickly identify problems and structure solutions, and to plan and prioritize multiple projects, while maintaining high quality and meeting or exceeding targets.
Able to demonstrate successful delivery following competencies within a cross
functional matrix environment:
* Business needs analysis and stakeholder management.
* Project management and facilitation skills.
