As a Raw & Pack buyer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the company
selects the most appropriate suppliers on the basis of price, quality,
delivery times, and service support. They must also take their customer
interests into consideration.

About the job:
* Source for local suppliers in compliance with Danone standards for Quality, Supply, competitiveness, innovation, and Sustainability
* Work closely with the Global Procurement Team, to align on top-level commercial strategies
* Manage Egypt Paper; Cocoa portfolio, including corrugated cartons, multi-packs, shrink and bricks
* Engage with regional teams to understand business and regional needs, forecast and demand and provide them with Egypt's needs
* Collaborate with other buyers and support to execute procurement strategies
* Develop and drive category savings initiatives aligned with business objectives
* Create & evaluate market facts and trends (market intelligence)
* Provide a fact-based understanding of the current supply base and intelligence on contract terms
* Develop and execute multi-year unique commodity procurement strategies
* Identify and select suppliers and negotiate pricing and category terms and conditions
* Design and manage the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotation workflow as needed to support business objectives
* Lead negotiations with suppliers
* Manage supplier relationships (SRM) with key strategic suppliers and develop playbooks to define the working relationship. Drive delivery of best-in-class performance
* Engage in dispute resolution and conduct regular and disciplined client engagement for continuous improvement processes
* Deliver documented savings from bid processes, negotiations, and innovative savings opportunities to meet business requirements and procurement organization objectives
* Monitor monthly and yearly forecasts per material
* Manage communications with suppliers and serve as a key point of contact for Danone businesses on contractual matters
* Secure new Raw Materials through to first industrial deliveries (risk analysis, negotiation, capacity monitoring)
* Manage R&P category reporting in terms of budget, productivity, quality notifications, spending, SPR Innovations and local versus global spend
* Support in implementing the R&P process
* Maintain suppliers and commodity strategies in the appropriate databases
* Reference and integrate the new suppliers, by applying the Danone Selection Criteria
* Resolving price discrepancies
* Seeking out savings opportunities while maintaining quality standards
* Participating in storeroom physical inventory
* Ensure the alignment between R&I and Operations on the Category sourcing strategies
* Lead Internal and External Benchmarking.
About you
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you
need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field


• Must have prior R&P experience


• ‎2+ years of buying experience is preferred


• Excellent verbal and writing skills


• Strong negotiation, organization, and management abilities


• Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels and varied cultures within and outside of the company.


• Ability to balance short-term VS. long-term needs, and company Vs. supplier needs.


• Detail-oriented, and demonstrated analytical capabilities.
