You will be working as Service Sales Specialist and will be the part of Motion
business area for Service division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you
will be reporting to Local Business Area Manager and will be responsible for
driving service sales process in collaboration with the service Segment
manager and/or service sales manager, generating service sales opportunities
and securing profitable sales within the designated area(Egypt , north and
central Africa), focusing on installed base penetration (IB) and selling the
entire service product portfolio in collaboration with other ABB service
units, building long term customer relationships and ensuring immediate
response to specific customer needs and issues


Your responsibilities



  • Implementing service sales strategy, penetrating IB, promoting various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB, understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plans, reviews them and proposes recovery plan.

  • Regularly updating installed base in ServIS (the approved Service database) with the changes made at site, utilizing ServIS to understand the existing installed base (IB) and identifying and developing sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB/new IBs in the market

  • Focusing on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business units/product groups, generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities in the utilities segment.

  • Identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios, taking one ABB approach to leverage other colleagues ' portfolios, establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations

  • Demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge for promoting life cycle management (LCM), registering customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process

  • Selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s), charting out and monitoring sales proposals, tenders and following up proposal statistics, preparing ABB's Service offerings based on customer need

  • Communicating contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy, managing administrative sales processes, acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings)

  • Translating the needs of customer into relevant ABB service offerings and solutions, contributing to risk assessments related to price and quality, preparing and submitting accurate quotations/sales proposal and contract for leads generated by sales visits

  • Registering required information into the appropriate customer database, ensuring technical reliability, safety and cost-effective solutions to satisfy customer's needs, complying with health and safety directives


Your background



  • Bachelor 's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Minimum ‎1 to ‎3 years of experience in sales.

  • Preferable if worked within the utilities (Water & Wastewater and Power) accounts, sales, communication and negotiation skills, teamwork, self-motivated and proactive, ability to travel to customer meeting, corporates training and manage multi tasks with efficient time management

  • Fluency in English language is mandatory
