1. Purpose of consultancy
The main objective of this consultancy is to Support, the MOHP to disseminate
the developed Family planning Arabic counselling Training package, (including
participant's handbook & trainer's guide).and conduction of training
workshops
2. Background
The WHO Egypt 's office initiated a series of training on Family Planning
service providers, all over the country, for many years. The focus was
directed to the MOHP service providers, but the WHO Egypt's office, adopted a
new strategy of expanding the training to include the universities' staff
service providers, not only in the Faculties of Medicine, but also in the
Faculties of Nursing.
The aim was to standardize family planning given counselling, service
delivery as well as assuring the quality of the provided FP services, in all
the health facilities and in line with WHO updated recommendations
Through training, the need for Arabic version became obvious, and to get the
best benefits of the developed materials, WHO is supporting the development of
an Arabic training modules of the developed guideline for nurses.
The aim is to: Ensure strengthened family planning services through;
developing capacities of nursing staff on family planning training modules in
Arabic language, and on the developed FP counselling training package
material, in line with WHO updated guidelines, to facilitate and support
implementation of more training batches; in the coming biennium to cover all
the Nursing schools, in selected governorates, (selection will be done by
national authorities)
3.* Work to be performed
Output 1: Developing Family planning curricula and training package for
the under graduated medical students
Deliverable 1.1 : Develop Family Planning curriculum for undergraduate
medical students to be adopted by the medical schools
Deliverable 1.2 * Develop Training package based on the Family planning
curriculum is developed for undergraduate medical students.
Output 2 : Developing Family planning curricula and training package
for the under graduated nursing students
deliverable 2.1 Develop Family Planning curriculum for undergraduate
medical students to be adopted by the nursing schools
Deliverable 2.2 Develop Training package based on the Family planning
curriculum is for undergraduate nursing students
4. Qualifications, experience, skills and languages
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
University degree in Medicine.
Desirable : master's degree in public health or medicine specializing in
sexual and reproductive health and Family Planning
Skills
Desirable: Additional experience in training schemes
Experience:
Essential:
* At least 5 years work experience in the relevant field /Public Health in Egypt and experience of working with government.
Desirable:
* Proven experience in writing reports and drafting policy documents related to health
* Experience in national or international organizations or agencies, or non-governmental organizations providing technical assistance at the national level
Skills/Technical skills and knowledge:
Proven knowledge of health and reproductive health issues and good
understanding of FP
Demonstrated capacity to work in challenging circumstances
Flexibility to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work on culturally sensitive topics
Excellent inter-personal skills, oral communication, writing and documentation
skills.
Excellent interpersonal,
Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work effectively under pressure.
Necessary skills for establishment and operationalization of telemedicine
services.
Excellent skills in developing training packages and counselling
Languages and level required:
* Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing)
* Knowledge of local languages for effective communication at field level.
Arabic native with excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken.

From 50 - 55 working days during the following period:
Start date: 9/07/2023
End date: 31/10/2023
7. Medical clearance
The selected Consultant will be expected to provide a medical certificate of
fitness for work.
8. Travel
Travel cost and accommodation are excluded from this contract. No Travel will
be required for this assignment
