Key Responsibilities
* Manages, motivates, and instructs delivery team members, sets
priorities and structures tasks and goals
* Provides effective organization and control of all operations in order to meet planned objectives.
* Coordinates planning and operations to ensure effective inland
operations are set and maintained to ensure throughput.
* Monitors the overall operation and efficiencies of the Transportation business groups
* Sets operational standards for all Transportation business units
* Works directly with the Safety Department to ensure compliance and State Safety Regulations
* Oversight of all Inland Transportation including setting business strategy, KPIs, and direction to grow inland transportation services profitability through operational excellence
* Monitors claims and accident reporting within the guidelines set forth by the company
* Monitors issues relating to Contractors to ensure satisfaction and fleet size sufficient to successfully move customer merchandise
* Monitors weekly contractors' performance reports collaborates with Procurement and Product departments for corrective actions
* Identifies areas for potential cost savings
We're looking for:
* University Degree
* Previous experience in Inland delivery (Landside activities including Overland)
* Inland-savvy mindset to quickly convert opportunities to business impacts
* Ability to operate successfully in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders across several levels
* Strategic thinking and execution
* Skilled to prepare and execute a business plan to run a large operation with variable demand
* Tech savvy approach to optimize news ways of working
* Ability to lead, coach and motivate large teams, including leaders or others
* Lead an organization to prepare and respond with resilience to a business environment influenced by various external factors
* Advanced level of English and MS Office Programs
