POSITION DESCRIPTION
Amideast Egypt seeks a Soft Skills Expert for a program that focuses on the
recruitment and capacity development of the differently abled in Egypt.
The Soft Skills Expert will review available content and adapt it to make it
more inclusive. S/he will prepare standardized curriculum manuals
(participants ' guide and trainers' guide), handouts, and instructional
PowerPoint for the following courses:

  • The Soft Skills module will focus on providing the necessary soft skills that the participants will require in any professional environment. Participants will learn about various skills necessary for their careers. By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Critically analyze situations and provide various solutions

  • Realize different methods for self-motivation

  • Manage time and tasks efficiently

    • The Professional Development module will focus on providing professional skills needed to succeed in their careers and demonstrating excellence on the job. By the end of this module, participants will be able to:



  • Apply KPIs to measure progress and success in their department

  • Understand the basic characteristics of leadership in a professional environment

  • Recognize the importance of customer-centricity in all parts of a job

    • The Business Etiquette module will focus on proper business etiquette in a professional environment. It goes beyond typical office protocol to incorporate inter-cultural sensitivity and working effectively in a multi-cultural environment. By the end of this module, participants will be able to:



  • Communicate professionally with colleagues in a work environment

  • Communicate in a professional environment using email and other official communication channels

  • Engage in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and awareness of cultural differences
    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the logical sequencing of technical content, material, and resources

  • Review available content and adapt it to the needs of the trainees

  • Develop clear objectives to be reached per session

  • Ensure the technical content, material and resources prepared are supported by references

  • Prepare standardized curriculum manuals (participants' guide and trainers' guide), handouts, and instructional PowerPoint for different courses

  • Ensure that the curriculum manuals, handouts, instructional PowerPoint developed are supported by references and resources

  • Include interactive activities using video, case studies, gamification …etc.

  • Share each module with Amideast for feedback and editing

  • Develop the TOT for the instructors delivering the course

  • Conduct two training/ orientation sessions per curriculum created to instructors delivering the course
    Deliverables:

    • Curriculum framework to be presented and approved by Amideast before working on it

    • Trainers' guide with full resources, references with further readings and citations

    • Participants' guide fully edited, signed, and approved by Amideast

    • Instructional PowerPoint to be used in class

    • Handouts/movies downloaded/ games with proper patent approvals

    • Instructions per session to admin team on resources needed for the sessions in addition to all printable and supplementary materials

    • Full assessment plan and tools

    • Two drafts and a final submission to be shared and approved by Amideast focal point. The final draft is submitted after the first delivery of the course to incorporate instructor's feedback
      QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience teaching soft skills training

    • Experience in developing curriculum

    • Experience in working with the differently abled

    • Significant experience with instructional best practices.

    • Knowledge of techniques for facilitating groups of learners.

    • Ability to plan, model, coach and provide feedback to individual trainers and teams of trainers to improve teaching.

    • Experience implementing effective instructional practices.

    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Excellent organizational skills
