Research Associates are needed in the area of Water Resources. Several
candidates are needed for several research projects. Candidates’ duties will
include management of day-to-day activities of these projects; conduct
literature review, participate in field and laboratories activities, conduct
mathematical/numerical modeling; and publish research findings in refereed
journals.
Suitable candidates should have evidence to support: (1) demonstrated
research and track record publications; (2) Good technical writing skills; (3)
Flexibility and self-dependence in executing the assigned research roles; and
(4) co-authorship to at least 3 Scopus indexed publications on one or more of
the following topics:
groundwater Modeling; statistical analyses of rainfall and other climate
parameters; stochastic downscaling of GCM’s rainfall projections;
rainfall - runoff modelling of Wadi hydrology and their intersection with
groundwater recharge; or GIS and remote sensing applications in water
resources.
Minimum Qualification
An appropriate educational degree in environmental water resources
supplemented with documented Preference will be given to those with PhD or MSc
degrees.
Preferred Qualification
The ideal candidate should be highly-motivated and submit documented evidence
to support (1) Proven record of research on aquifer recharge; (2) Good
technical writing skills; (3) Flexibility and self-dependence in executing the
assigned research roles.
