Responsibilities:
OHS Systems Implementation:
* Review and Maintain comprehensive OHS systems and procedure OHS.
* Ensure compliance with all OHS and HCIS legal obligations through the development of stringent OHS protocols.
* Set, develop, implement modified OHS protocols as and when necessary, to ensure site security.
* Establish robust OHS processes to support all project construction and operational requirements to install an overall OHS understanding into all project and operational personnel.
* Represent the company is all aspects of the OHS requirements.
Infrastructure:
* Maintaining appropriate on-site medical facilities
* Ensure the provision of evacuation procedures and protocol are in-place
* Provide to employee's medical professionals who can deliver to the agreed medical standards
* Ensure all non-direct employees i.e. visitors, contractors, consultants are aware of the medical standards and support facilities.
Health:
* Ensure all employees, non-direct employees are aware of the health protocols on site including preventative approaches
* Ensure all existing health protocols are review on a regular basis to ensure best practice is delivered, especially in a mine site environment
* Maintain an up-to-date register of all health issues
OHS Training:
* Ensure all employees, non-direct employees go through the approved company OHS training program
* Maintain an induction program which reflects the basic requirement of the function
* Advise all employees, non-direct employees with regard to refresher induction programs
* Maintain an effective level of access to the current induction program, this for employee, non-employee information.
Safety:
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Safety Management Plan.
* Ensure all safety breach events are reviewed analysed as per OHS protocols.
* Ensure all Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting is completed and submitted on time to Management and Corporate.
* To ensure the investigation, consolidation and escalation methodology is applied determined on the level of safety breach.
* Maintain accurate data, (both hard / soft copies) in recording protocols of safety breaches.
* Advise the necessary Government entities as and when appropriate regarding safety noncompliance through the MBCC General Manager
* Ensure all employees, non-employees are aware of the company protocols for safety, with specific emphasis to Mine site environment
* Support frontline supervisors in the areas of Risk Management, Incident reporting and investigation and implementation of safety initiatives
Administration:
* Ensure OHS/Security operational budget is met
* Provide OHS department reports to Management as requested
* Maintain an accurate up to date register of all personal safety programs
* To build an effective OHS team under the guidance of Training & Development
* Maintain a secure area for all Health and Safety reports
Qualification Requirements:
* NEBOSH Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar.
* Current Saudi Driver's License
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience and Skills Requirements:
* ‎3 - ‎5 years in an OHS Management position
* Experience in a multi-cultural / multinational working environment (Essential)
* Experience in implementing and maintaining OHS systems
* Experience with implementation of ISO ‎45001
* Organised - can work within defined timelines and work methodically towards them
* Fluent in English (Spoken and Written)
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Essential).
* Communication - can relate to all employees and managers and develop/maintain sound working relationships
* Initiative - can identify problems and proactively resolve them.
* High attention to detail - can analyze information and identify errors and gaps.
