Context

Comprising a large area in the southwest corner of NEOM, the core urban
environment of OXAGON is centered around the integrated port and logistics hub
that will house the majority of the city 's anticipated residents. The unique
octagonal design minimizes impact on the environment and provides optimal land
usage, with the remainder open to preserve ‎95% of the natural environment. A
defining feature of the city is the world's largest floating structure, which
will become a center for NEOM's Blue Economy and achieve sustainable growth.
OXAGON will establish the world's first fully integrated port and supply chain
ecosystem for NEOM. The port, logistics and rail delivery facility will be
unified, providing world-class productivity levels with net-zero carbon
emissions, setting global benchmarks in the adoption of technology and
environmental sustainability.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project
Engineer/Coordinator (Design) to join our Design & Infrastructure team in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Project Engineer/Coordinator (Design) will work closely with our Project
Managers and Design Centres, Clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that
everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goal.

Main duties

• The Project Engineer/Coordinator (Design) must be familiar with the most current guidance on project design and plays a critical role in ensuring an effective Project Design Process.


• The Coordinator is expected to maintain a consultative and participatory approach in developing deliverables and facilitating continuous stakeholder feedback loops.


• The Coordinator supports the different design disciplines (on site and offsite) in documenting and tracking a complex package of design tasks leading to the production of project and activity level documents that are fully in line with the project's relevant strategy and policy documents.


• The Coordinator assists design team leads in determining appropriate timelines and in monitoring progress toward meeting crucial deadlines.


• The Coordinator is a primary point of contact for data and resource management, ensuring that essential background documents and deliverables are appropriately organized, filed and accessible to relevant parties.


• S/he also serves as a point of contact in the project for many communications with other Design Centres


• The Coordinator will be responsible for validation of timesheets from different design centres


• Along with these core responsibilities, the Coordinator may support the design process by personally preparing or contributing to the drafting of: talking points for key meetings, PowerPoint presentations, one-pagers or other similar communications to be used with internal and external partners, and meeting notes, among other things.

Person Specification

• Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role (at least ‎5 years)


• Experience in design coordination/management


• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans


• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management


• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite


• Hands-on experience with project management tools


• BSc in Engineering/Architecture


• PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus


• Strong English communications skills (written and oral)


• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral presentations and briefings, written reporting and analysis, and information technology tools.
