Job Purpose:
The Event Supervisor is responsible for mobilizing and managing the day-to-day
events within a Corporate organisation. As well as the operational delivery,
the Event Supervisor will work with the client to plan and understand their
needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading the FOH team and working with the ktichen and BOH team
Prepare the event set ups for morning breaks, lunches and afternoon break
Ensure the team is trained and ready to run the operation smoothly
Deliver the events controlling expenses
Enforce established processes and procedures within the team
Ensure the event operation is always meeting all food and health and safety
standards
Monitor the daily operation to ensure a high-quality product and service are
delivered to each and every customer
Conduct regular team training to maintain high standards
Schedule staff shifts to ensure sufficient workforce for operation
Obtain customer feedback and implement changes to improve the operation if
needed
Address customer queries courteously and ensure customer satisfaction
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Event Supervisor
Mixed experience quality retail or fixed site catering preferred
Experience of project mobilization process preferred
Experience working within logistically challenging environments preferred
Experience of managing large multi-cultural teams essential
Skills Required:
Confident and fluent in English communication, spoken and written
Ability to illustrate experience of reporting and communicating with
multiple stakeholder essential
A true leader with presence and ability to command the team
Proven ability to deliver training and maintain consistent standards at all
times
A desire to do things differently, to challenge the norm to improve customer
experiences
Excellent customer service skills and standards and an eye for detail
essential
A strong problem solver with an ability to think on their feet and adapt to
new circumstances
Ability to spot opportunities to grow sales and/or become more efficient
essential
Experience in adhering to and driving company initiatives
Qualifications:
Diploma, undergraduate or graduate certificate minimum standard
Hospitality, catering and business management quantification preferred
