Operates fire fighting and safety equipment as applicable. Inspects,
maintains, repairs and refills portable fire equipment. Maintains written and
computerized records of equipment inventory and inspection results.
1. Responds to all fire and accidents calls, uses proper equipment during
fire response including breaking windows or doors and removing obstructions.
Responds to all other emergency standby calls and takes necessary action
including report preparation.
2. Removes injured persons from immediate hazards following safety procedures
as applicable to the rescue area.
3. Maintains daily log entries on timely manner.
4. Demonstrates the knowledge of basic safety principles and how they apply
to fire protection in accordance to Employee Safety Manual.
5. Reports on the availability of fire and safety equipment performance.
6. Inspects, maintains and refills portable fire equipment. Maintains written
and computerized records of equipment inventory and inspection results.
7. Participates in facility safety surveys. Assists in employee fire safety
training.
8. Identifies fire hazards that exist and lists recommendations for
correction.
9. Assists in investigating and correcting of on the job accidents, fire
incidents and unsafe conditions/acts.
Bachelor 's, Associate Degree/ Diploma or High School Education is required.
Three (3) years of related experience is required.
