Overview
To manage and control demand requirements within the manufacturing environment
through a production team led with clear leadership in such a way that it
drives cost, quality and service resulting in overall organisational
effectiveness.
Responsibilities
The function of the department is to plan ahead for both Purchasing and
Operations on the required
materials and volumes to be purchased or produced. Moreover, it controls
product availability requested
by sales and export markets to ensure shipments, while managing inventories in
all warehouses and
distribution centres.
Update Plant information in DPP (ISCP)
* Review MPS & DLS plans
* Issue daily production schedule for the M0
* Issue mid-month review & BOM production plans
* Issue weekly production plans.
* Review & actions plans on slow moving items
* Control 3 plants & DC inventory at optimum level
* Track actual vs. plan for production Schedule (Schedule adherence %).
* Track the shipment variation and trends. (VTR - Volume Through Replenishment)
* Track and update shipment/ forecast SKU contribution.
* Track weekly supply versus forecast
* Review weekly / monthly performance on demand shortages (Supply shortages)
* Plan for product launches; line upgrades and minor/major shutdowns.
* Plan preventive maintenance for all 3 plants without interrupting market demand
* To implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the OH&S Management
System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance to the legislations,
PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant
EHS standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks associated
with all activities/areas
are in place and OH&S targets are achieved.
Qualifications
*
BA/BS required, in the area of Supply Chain or related quantitative
discipline.
* Broad planning and cross & functional understanding.
* Supply management skill.
* Broad planning and cross & functional understanding.
* Understanding of quality control standards and techniques.
* Good Knowledge of Forecast/demand
* Good knowledge in SAP
* Minimum 2 years in supply chain role with experience in cross-functional positions.
* A self-motivated person with the ability to identify, initiate and implement corrective actions.
* Highly effective communication skills and negotiation skills to Co ordinate with domestic &
foreign suppliers
* Strong analytical skills.
* Apply flexible thinking while problem solving in a systematic manner
