Performs assigned duties involving receiving, stocking, rotating stock, filing
orders and effecting deliveries to some Hospital departments. Performs related
office duties such as completing forms and logs. Enters data into a computer
and performs transactions in a real time as requested.
1. Works as a team member to effectively perform all duties assigned by
Supervisor. Exercises caution in product identification and closely observe
packaging and warning labels, product expiration dates, lot numbers, and bar
code labels.
2. Reads and maintains proper supply levels in customer user areas throughout
the Hospital. Captures successfully supply counts into computer and keying in
of the information, where applicable. Prints labels for supplies and affixes
where applicable during reorganization.
3. Receives, incoming supply item quantities physically to ascertain that the
correct items are received.
4. Reports discrepancies to Senior Supply Technician.
5. Places supplies in proper locator following accepted procedure for stock
rotation. Breaks down empty boxes and places in proper receptacle for removal.
6. Picks supplies from shelves to fill orders as scheduled by the Supervisor.
Uses a computer to issue ensuring correct item, lot, and quantity.
7. Replies to the requests from customers in Hospital user areas and
patients.
8. Effects deliveries to Hospital departments and Nursing units according to
established delivery schedules. Properly handles sterile supplies and prevents
contamination.
9. Maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly condition. Disinfects
distribution equipment routinely according to established procedures.
10. Keeps the store secure and prevents unauthorized persons from entering
the area.
11. Performs basic mathematical computations.
12. Fills door requests for Take Home Supplies according to released
requisition.
13. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
14. Participates in self and others ' education, training and development, as
applicable.
IPA Diploma in Hospital Administration or other related discipline or High
School Education is required.
No experience required with IPA Diploma or one (1) year of related experience
with High School Education is required.
