Your field of responsibility
The Head of Operations for Saudi Arabia has formal oversight and
accountability for all operational activities carried out locally. The role
would be based in KSA and is the representative for SAMA business and will be
charged with instilling the organisations' operational excellence into the
local culture along with promoting co-operation between the SAMA and CMA
businesses.
You will report functionally to the Head of Wealth Management Operations
(based in the UK) and locally to the COO.
The candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
* Engage with management and representatives within the organisation to ensure alignment and connectivity on all matters.
* Represent the Operations department at meetings with regulator and other stakeholders
* Keep the stakeholders updated on any regulatory changes that impact the Operations department
* Keep local and divisional management informed of any potential issues & audit communications the during audit fieldwork process
* Establish strong and durable relationship with all other departments and across Regional/WM operations
Policies and procedures adherence and best market practice implementation
* Ensure that at the end of each day, all controls and tasks have been appropriately signed off on the daily checklist(s), prior to their overall sign-off, and that any supporting reports/documentation are attached. Where a control or task is unable to be completed, this should be clearly indicated and supporting narration/explanation added to the commentary field
* Assisting on New Business Projects related to business expansion in Saudi Arabia
* Ensure all service levels related to the business process are measured and understood
* Actively participate in building relationships with key external stakeholders such as SAMA, Tadawul and the CMA
* Hold the position of registered Operations Head for the Branch

• Fast learner with strong understanding of internal banking operations. International banking experience.


• Excellent understanding of SAMA banking regulations in local market


• Saudi National


• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.


• Dynamic demeanour with inclination of target-oriented execution, good client and service orientation, passion and flair to deal with various personality types


• Attention to details for producing accurate and precise control results


• Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills, particularly in the ability to liaise with senior Front Office as well as other key stakeholders


• Ability to work independently and excel under pressure for meeting any tight deadlines


• Good organizational and time-management skills, including ability to prioritize tasks.


• English & Arabic language skills are a must


• Experience of managing team(s)
