We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in our Senior
School during the school week, full time. The standard hours of work for a
Learning Support Assistant are 07:45hrs -14:45hrs on 2 days of the week, and
07:45hrs -16:00hrs on 3 days of the week, Sunday to Thursday.
The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded

The successful candidates will:
* Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and with a strong track record of working within a similar type of role.
* Show evidence of having previous learning experience working with children.
* Be proactive in their approach providing learning support to primary and/or senior students in mainstream classes, small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
* Show confidence in working with young children in and outside a classroom.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence and be able to deal effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.

* Qualified Teacher status.
* Certificate of Education - PGCE or B.Ed.
* Training or qualification relevant to the post.

* An understanding of Assessment for Learning Strategies and use of this to inform future planning.
* The desire to develop knowledge of the curriculum above and below the preferred key stage or in a cross-curricular context.
