Job Description:
Performs a variety of standard estimating activities (individual or as part
of a team) on an assigned project/program. The Planner at this level has
experience in applying standard estimating practices, planning, scheduling and
progress reporting for specific projects assigned technique processes and
procedures, and demonstrates familiarity in applying company policies and
assigned project/program practices and procedures. Typical responsibilities
are focused on a variety of ancillary estimating tasks. Although the incumbent
may perform some higher level estimating assignments, this work does not
encompass a sufficient amount of his/her time to warrant exempt status.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares detailed plans and time‑scaled charts and diagrams.
Provides analysis and review of man-hour resources/loading and time‑phase
project maintenance needs.
Promptly reports schedule slippage or other unsatisfactory performance.
Liaises with data processing in developing support for network calculations,
printouts and for progress reports and other data services
Supervises computer input, coding, sequencing, loading and data control.
Prepares progress reports.
Liaise with contractors and consultants frequently on planning and related
matters.
Monitors, evaluates and reports field progress.
Develops and maintains engineering, procurement and construction schedules.
Receives work assignment and specific instructions from supervisor and is
usually assigned to a group.
Often has responsibility for a particular subject for a large project.
May act as the responsible planner/scheduler for a small project with sole
accountability for planning, scheduling and reporting.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
B.S. degree in an engineering discipline is preferred. 3 years of directly
related experience in planning and scheduling both engineering and
construction activities are required.
Minimum of 10 years experience
Must be proficient in modern planning software including P6.

* Ability to communicate, train and supervise others.
* Demonstration of any other qualifications deemed necessary for the successful performance of duties in the particular position
