Quality Control Engineer

Job Description:
Accountabilities
* Ensure the integrity of the Quality System with regards to official regulations / requirements / authorities / airworthiness standards (Airbus DS, EASA, RSAF, FAA, GACA, etc.) by performing the following:
* Performs regular aircraft surveillance inspection during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure airworthiness and presentability of aircraft, engine or component.
* Ensure that non-routine cards or any other similar documents are generated by aircraft maintenance authorized personnel when defects/discrepancies are discovered during performance of oversight and surveillance inspection.
* Performs hangars, shops, warehouses, etc. facilities and housing surveillance inspections to ensure that areas are FOD free and are in suitable conditions.
* Reports any unsafe conditions and as required issues Corrective Action Request form on discrepancies found during surveillance and oversight inspections on the aircraft, parts/components or housing and facilities to the Head of Quality and Safety and to the concerned Department/Office for necessary action.
* Ensure that immediate/corrective actions and follow-up are taken for noted defects/discrepancies found during surveillance inspections.
‎2 Main activities
* Perform oversight function to certifying staff (ASL MiA and Subcontractor) during any of the following activities:
* In-process maintenance and inspection on aircraft, engines, accessories and components in determining their state of preservation and detecting any defect or malfunction or damage.
* In-process maintenance and inspection on aircraft, engines, accessories and components undergoing repair, overhaul or alteration to assure compliance with governing specifications, procedures, accepted quality standards and practices.
* Final inspection of aircraft to verify that a final visual check for completeness and functional check have been made and that all work and/or inspection performed or required to be performed have been signed for and that no known defects exist that would render the aircraft, engine or component unairworthy.
* Components changes, tests and adjustments on airframe and powerplant systems consistent with the manufacturer standards.
* To act as Quality Control Officer in compliance with the customer RSAF requirements.
* Review and ensure that maintenance documents (Aircraft Logbook, Routine & Non routine cards, etc.) are complete and properly accomplished in accordance with ASL MiA and customer/authority requirements during aircraft, engines or component scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
* To support the aircraft handover during the scheduled maintenance activities.
* To support the internal audit in accordance with the yearly audit plan established and to manage the related immediate/corrective actions.
* To support the external audit and to manage the related corrective actions.
* To support with the Quality Manager for continuous development of Quality Systems.
* To ensure the staff requirements for Maintenance activities, following the EASA Part ‎145 standards/guidance materials.
* To perform FOD inspection in all ASL MiA areas of operation as part of FOD policy monitoring and awareness.
* To support the implementation and operation of the ASL MiA Safety Management Systems.
* To support the ASL MiA processes and procedures develop and improvement, including the MOE and CAME.
Job specification :
* Aerospace/aeronautical maintenance degree or Bachelor degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering / aviation services / aviation technology
* At least ‎10 years of aircraft maintenance experience with at least ‎3 years as Certifying Staff in a reputable organization.
* Training and experience in aircraft inspection and technique.
* Holder of EASA, FAA or GACA aircraft maintenance license.
* With EASA Part ‎147 approved Airbus A330-‎200 theory and practical training.
* At least ‎5 years total experience on the Airbus A330-‎200 aircraft or ‎3 years total experience on the A330 MRTT aircraft.
* Experience in aircraft inspection function
* Knowledge on the aviation regulations such as EASA, FAA or GACA.
* Knowledge and experience in safety, regulatory compliance and quality assurance, involving aircraft base and line maintenance activities
* Knowledge and application of Aviation standards, rules and regulations, in particular EN/AS ‎9100, EN/AS ‎9110, Part ‎65/‎66, Part ‎145 and Part M and an appreciation of Part ‎21 within relevant maintenance organizations.
* Experience in auditing and/or the application of Safety Management Systems including investigations and root cause analysis, promoting a positive safety culture.
* Knowledge of the MS office pack.
* An advance level of written and spoken English.
