About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Accountant Receivables
Specialist, who will be responsible for ensuring that accounts are properly
billed and that payments are collected on time.
In this role, you will interface with customers, vendors, various Technogym
departments to facilitate financial and accounting processes, improve cash
flow and minimize the collections risk and past dues/defaults.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Senior
Accountant to join our Finance team based in Riyadh. The role is responsible
for monitoring general accounting and accounts receivable practices,
developing/maintaining internal controls, reporting regularly to local Finance
Manager and HQ based in Italy, and fulfilling local tax requirements.
The successful candidate will be a process-orientated and curious problem-
solver, with exceptional attention to detail and strong relationship
management skills. The candidate will report directly into the country's
Finance Manager and will play an instrumental role in the financial future of
the country.
Responsibilities
* Management of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all other accounting requirements, in compliance with Group Accounting policies and procedures
* Provide reliable, quality and timely statutory and management reporting
* Ensure consistent application of effective internal controls and guarantee audit compliance
* Assure the effectiveness of the collection, expenses, inventory evaluation and purchasing (PR/PO) processes
* Guarantee consistency between the bank statement and G/L bank account
* Manage local tax filling and local fiscal and statutory requirements
* Assure legal and tax local compliance alongside the Finance Manager
* Provide training, coordination and guidance to the finance and local management teams
* Ensuring proper accruals and bookings are set in place in timely manner and adhering with the closing activities
* Support the Finance Manager to analyse the right risk level and to ensure the right, balanced approach is taken between business opportunity & risk level regarding payment terms and collections/defaults
* Support the Sales Team in payment term negotiation and collections
* Guaranteeing implementation of Company Credit Management procedures according to local requirements and HQ guidelines
* Monitor and manage timely (daily) overdue and account receivables: communicate to the sales force and financial controller, adopt the correct collection procedures, and monitor insolvent positions
* Responsible for minimizing overdue recovery targets
* Coordinate external consultants/lawyers
* Assure accurate reporting and analysis
* Guaranteeing timely, professional management of risks, costs and revenues related to the Financial Services portfolio
* Maintain and update properly the A/R statement, such as due dates, payment methods, litigations
* Establishing strong relationships with local leasing and credit partners
* Assure, on a daily basis, the consistency between bank statement transactions and Customer statements
* Assure the consistency between bank statements and the G/L bank account
* Maintain and update the Customer master data with the Customer Service

Requirements

• ‎5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting in relevant role


• Relevant Accountancy qualification


• Local Fiscal and Statutory knowledge


• Local Accounting Standards


• Experience in audit and internal control management


• Experience of managing a general ledger


• Experience in credit collection processes


• Advance user of MS Excel and experience in common ERP systems


• Ability to build and maintain effective customer/department relationships


• Curious problem solver


• Exceptional attention to detail


• Copes well under pressure and can manage tight deadlines alongside peaks and troughs in workload (i.e. month, quarter, year-end)


• Process orientated (implementation, action planning and analysis)


• speaks english and arabic


• Background in collections, Account Receivables, Treasury or similar


• Knowledge of payment terms, banking and risk assessment


• Basic knowledge of balance sheet, risk evaluation and risk mitigation techniques


• Strong analytical and calculation skills including accounting knowledge


• Knowledge of trade financing, trading risk management and capital investment practices
