Job Description Summary

During a ‎6-months internship (Tamheer Program), the Intern will be working on
transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from
internal and/or external customers/suppliers.

She/he will be accountable for the quality of own work, subject to direct
operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Intern
will execute within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a
step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed
to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Responsibilities
* Working on end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Managing Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
* Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include supporting roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
* Appling general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understanding how work of own team contributes to the area.
* Resolving issues using established procedures. Consulting supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
* Collaborating with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, developing strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GEHC. Exchanging technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Requirements
* Fresh graduates up to ‎1 year experience with Supply Chain/Logistics degree or similar.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Fluent in English and Arabic (essential).
* Proficient at PC office software such as excel, word, PowerPoint etc.
* Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude.
Desired Characteristics:
* Supply Chain or Logistics background is preferred.
* Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to change and willingness to be flexible at all times
