Sales Supervisor - Entry
Level definition
Leader/Specialist tasked with delivering results that make a significant
contribution to a department or project delivery.
Responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day-to-day team
objectives or acts independently to deliver the business policies and
programmes within a defined specialist area. Resolves day-to-day
issues/escalation points.
Key responsibilities
* Responsible for the sales staff / fleet and operations of the assigned territory
* Ensure balanced workload routes for the sales representatives
* Ensure route visit as planned
* Ensure timely deliveries
* Responsible for achieving sales targets & collection of the assigned territory
* Allocate the sales targets and get advance commitment of it from the sales team
* Responsible for reconciliation of payments in coordination with accounts dept and customer
* Monitor daily activities of the sales representatives and follow up on sales progress, collection and accomplishments. Inform ASM /BU Manager on the development
* Guide and support the sales team to achieve the desired sales /objectives
* Visit regularly the market along with the sales rep / merchandisers
* Negotiate and finalize temporary display agreements
* Ensure proper implementation of all types of marketing activities, promotions & optimal promotional displays
* Ensure the correct allocation of promotional stocks outlet wise and take action on the eventual balance stocks at the end of the promotion
* Ensure timely submission of Availability / Visibility / Competitor activity / Weekly & Daily Reports or any other reports requested by the company
* Check and approve the sales order / final invoice / GRV entered by the sales rep / Store keeper.
* Control market returns and work actively on minimizing it at the company's desired level
* Ensure the availability of the entire approved range of products for the specific outlet
* Conduct monthly and quarterly review meetings with the KA sales reps and discuss sales performance, future plans , operation issues , improvement required /suggested
* Propose BDA improvements (visibility, promotional displays etc.) to the ASM /BU manager
* Coordinate and cooperate with all other BU's , stores , accounts for the best interest of the company
* Maintain all records required by the BU manager in relation to promotion conducted, marketing budgets spent outlet wise etc.
Educational background/Experience
* Diploma / Graduate or Equivalent Education
* 5+ Years of Sales experience in FMCG company
* People Management Skills
